The term carbon intensity is ambiguous and may refer to:
- Energy carbon intensity: the amount of carbon, by weight, emitted per unit of energy that is consumed.
- Economic carbon intensity: how effectively economies are using their resources and how much pollution results from the use of specific fuels in an economy.
