The pound, just like the Newton, is a unit of force.[1] It is the standard unit of force in the Imperial system of units. Often people refer to pounds as if they also measure mass, but technically the imperial system of unit for mass is the slug.[2]

1 pound is equal to:
4.448 Newtons
