A foot (ft) is a unit of distance, defined as being equal to 12 inches, or 1/3 of a yard.[1] The foot is typically only used by countries that follow the Imperial system of units, but it is still commonly used in Canada as a measurement of height and in the aviation industry all around the world. It's occasionally used in the energy unit foot pound.
