The raisebore mining method is an underground mining method to obtain ore, in which a horizontal underground shaft is built below the deposit.[1] A revolving drill called a "reaming head" is input vertically into the deposit which knocks the ore loose and allows it to fall into the collecting vehicle below.[1] The uranium is then processed into a liquid slurry in order to pump it up to the surface.
The video below (from Cameco, a uranium mining company) shows the process involved in the raisebore mining method for uranium.[2]
