The term mercury is ambiguous and may refer to:
- Mercury (element): An element, just like oxygen or uranium, but it has many distinct properties and uses.
 - Mercury (pollutant): A toxic pollutant, which in its elemental form or combined with other elements may build up in food chains and cause tremendous biological damage.
